Aussie Sprinkler and Backflow was founded from a love of the challenges that sprinkler systems bring and the inspiration of a beloved Australian Shepherd named Maple.
The owner, Grady, owned and operated a landscape and sprinkler company here in Caldwell, Idaho, with a former business partner between 2019 and 2023. Shoutout to Jake Dumas and his new venture, “Clydesdale Mowing.” In 2024 Grady decided to go on his own and pursue his passion for sprinkler systems.
Aussie Sprinkler and Backflow is owned and operated by a skilled professional with countless hours of research, training, and hands-on experience. We are locally owned and operated and ready to meet your property’s needs. Aussie Sprinkler and Backflow is fully licensed and insured.
The Owner and Mascot
Grady Sousa
OWNERMy drive to create and provide have led me on a path as a business owner and I have found a passion in diagnosing complex and simple sprinkler systems. I am a certified backflow assembly tester and have a skill base allowing me to install and repair backflow devices as well. My favorite projects are sprinkler system audits where I get to see the workings of a clients system and offer my expertise in repairs and upgrades. My free time is spent with my fiancé, Carissa, and our two dogs, Maple and Moose. We love spending time in our garden, starting seedlings indoors in the winter and sharing our vegetables with friends the rest of the year. Moose and Maple love fresh garden veggies. Summer swimming is also a favorite, we love a good evening barbeque and swim. Sundays spent with family, enjoying a good dinner and game night are a highlight. I also love to help my clients and see how I can positively impact their lives.
Maple
MascotMaple has been my loyal companion for over 6 years. She loves coming to work with me, meeting clients, and standing out of the truck window while we commute. She is excited to be the mascot of the business. Maple is comfortable hanging out in the truck when clients prefer to not have her on the property and on longer days, she stays home spends time with our chocolate lab, Moose, and my Fiancé, Carissa. Maple has a passion for chasing lasers, fighting shadow puppets and herding Moose around. If you are looking to have us work on your property, she would love to meet you!
